Omgtech is running a hands on project based holiday program for children aged between 8 - 13.

It will take place over 2 weeks:
Week 1: Monday 15th - Friday 19th of January 2018
Week 2: Monday 22nd - Friday 26th of January 2018
From 8am to 5pm

Week 1 is all about design. The attendees will learn how to use modern manufacturing techniques to create and design awesome creations. They will learn CAD and 3D design as well as understanding how CandC routers work.
Alongside this the kids will learn other awesome tech skills including fun Science experiments including rockets, game design in scratch where they will unpack the principles behind what makes a good game and then work on creating their own game, and more.

Week 2 is all about electronics. The attendees will learn how electronic circuits work and design their very own project using light up circuitry. They will learn electronics and soldering as well as understanding how to programme circuits to make awesome new creations. They will learn how motors work and create cool projects using these new skills.
Alongside this the kids will learn other awesome tech skills including Science, robotics, and more.

Each day will involve spending the morning learning a new science and technology skill then in the afternoon they will work on their personal project supported by our industry mentors.

For kids who are only attending one day smaller projects to work on will be provided.

Arrival and Departure:

Children have to be dropped off every day at 8am in foyer of PwC building on 22/188 Quay St, Auckland, 1010 where they will be met by one of our OMGTech leaders and escorted to the bus. Children will need to be picked up in foyer of PwC building between 5pm & 5.15pm.

The holiday programme will take place in a different community each week to allow the children from the community to attend the programme.
On week 1 the holiday programme will take place at Manu Tukutuku community centre in Randwick Park and on week 2 it will be at the Mangere Arts Centre.

2 weeks, 1 week or individual day ticket options are available!

All tickets are 1+1 tickets which give admission to your child and at the same time sponsor a kid who can't afford to. The ticket price also includes transport to and from the venue.
